At ease at speed

Forget the skinny-tyred sketch-fests of the past, the new Exceed is an XC bike that won’t buck you into the bushes the moment you point it downhill. A dialled geometry and 100 mm of travel is all you need to be totally at ease at speed.

Stable and able

Looking over at its downcountry stablemate, the Lux Trail, the new Exceed adopts the same slacker 67° head angle. Combined with a longer wheelbase, you get an extra dose of stability and composure when you pick up the pace.

Flex and flow

Just because hardtails do away with rear suspension doesn’t mean you can’t refine the ride quality. With the new Exceed, we tuned rear triangle lateral stiffness so the rear wheel can track better through rough sections of trail, meaning more composure through technical terrain.

Iconic comfort

The Exceed CF 9 features our benchmark carbon leaf spring seatpost. Its innovative design allows 20 mm of rearward flex, taking the edge off harsh knocks and dramatically reducing vibrations for a seriously comfortable and energy-saving ride. The new 31.6 mm seatpost diameter also offers more choice for dropper posts, with simple internal routing.

Clearance for 2.4”

Wider does not mean slower, but more volume to push harder. 2.4" wide rubber fits fine on the new Exceed.

Frame protection

For a quieter ride and less stress from stone strikes, we’ve beefed up frame protection under the down tube and on both chainstays to fend off heel rub.

Cleanest lines

The sleek CP0036 carbon cockpit on the Exceed CF 9 not only looks the part, but is proven at XC World Championship level.

Threaded BB

Tried, tested and true, the new Exceed features BSA threaded bottom brackets. Smooth, silent, and simple to replace when the time comes.

Capacity for adventure

The Exceed has built a cult following in bikepacking circles for how it balances efficiency and capability. More confidence than a gravel bike when the going gets rough, yet simpler than a full suspension setup, the Exceed strikes the perfect balance for off-road adventure seekers.

Pack it up

Despite a lower standover height for added trail capability, the new Exceed maintains the front triangle bag real estate it’s famous for thanks to the modified down tube configuration.

Mount it up

Bigger bottles, better fitting frame bags, the Exceed is now even more of a bikepackers delight. Plus, a new third bottle mount below the down tube boosts hydration or tool storage potential.

Load it up

Never forget essential spares thanks to the Exceed's LOAD Internal Storage. With space for our Tool Pouch, CO2 cartridges, inflator, levers, tube*, and whatever else you like, stowed away and sealed from the elements for when you need it.
