Canyon x DT Swiss All-Terrain Racing

Meet Canyon × DT Swiss All-Terrain Racing, a new team chasing performance across every surface and distance.

13 riders. 5 nationalities.

No same pathway in. No fixed disciplines.

All terrains.

We call them the Wildcards.

Race everything.

All-Terrain Racing (ATR)

How we’re taking a discipline-free approach to off-road performance

Cycling is moving fast. Gravel isn’t just gravel. Ultra-endurance stretches known boundaries. Even road racing is forking away from pure tarmac.

And the athletes pushing the sport forward don’t follow a single path either – they race everything. Just look at MVDP and Puck Pieterse.

For 2026, we have built a new team that reflects this modern racing reality: Canyon x DT-Swiss All-Terrain Racing – or by their nickname, The Wildcards.

At the heart of the team is a strong gravel core, competing at the sharp end of events like The Traka, Unbound, and the UCI Gravel World Series.

Around them sits an ultra-endurance element, our Wildcard ‘outriders’ taking on races and challenges where the variables multiply and the margins widen, from long-distance grinds like Unbound XL and Traka 560 to the multi-day epics of Tour Divide and beyond.

We’ll also line up in cyclocross, marathon MTB, and more throughout the season.

ATR is about expanding how we define performance. Riding in the same colours across all terrains and distances, the Wildcards represent the adaptability that excites us most about modern off-road performance. And this is the kind of racing many riders and fans already live, mixing disciplines and surfaces without worrying about labels.

We are inviting guest riders from across endurance sports to step in – to race or attempt challenges that don’t fit neatly into a calendar or category, but still push the limits of what riders and equipment can do. FKTs. Hut to hut adventures. Blending movement by bike and foot.

Riding in the same colours across all terrains and distances, the Wildcards represent the adaptability that excites us most about modern off-road performance. And this is the kind of racing many riders and fans already live, mixing disciplines and surfaces without worrying about labels.

With this team, we want to connect competition, exploration, and progression. We want to unite riders and fans around all-terrain racing.

Join us at the races. Say hello at the team camper. Get in the Wildcard spirit.

Fast goes anywhere. Race everything.

A Rolling Test Lab

How we’ll showcase product development at speed

Canyon x DT Swiss All-Terrain Racing will also function as a rolling R&D test lab, integrating our Canyon Factory Racing product development directly into competition.

Across gravel, ultra-endurance, MTB, and beyond, we’ll test bikes, components, and prototype setups under the full range of stresses modern all-terrain racing creates: long-duration fatigue, variable surfaces, weather exposure, and repeated high-load efforts.

Engineers and Wildcard riders will work in close feedback loops, using rider input, performance data, and race outcomes to iterate equipment faster and more precisely than traditional development cycles allow.

Canyon privateer legend Pete Stetina will also have a key role to play with the team here, acting as product tester, rider liaison and mentor. He will be crucial in making sure the Wildcards line up fully dialled and ready to race on all-terrains.

By opening up this development process, we’ll show how products evolve in response to real racing demands, refining durability, efficiency, comfort, and handling to stay ahead as racing itself continues to change.

The Off-Road Ahead

Discover our 2026 calendar of races

Our season begins at the first Gravel Earth Series race of the year, Santa Vall – a true ‘Wildcard Weekender’ to open the legs across Girona’s gravel network.

From there, the racing builds quickly toward the team’s main gravel targets of The Traka and Unbound. Our ultra-endurance outriders, Alex McCormack and Marei Moldenhauer, will step into the long-distance formats at those events before heading off to races such as Tour Divide and the Mountain Races. The events continue apace until our last main season objective: Gravel Burn.

This is just the start. The calendar will continue to evolve as the season unfolds.
