The emotion of art

Torben Giehler used the same process to prepare all the Ultimate frames: mask, paint, dry, remove tape. Using this technique, the artist can evoke similar emotions to the ones found in his paintings.

Unique, signed by hand

The process remains the same, but the results are unique on every frame. There is no fixed scheme or template to create the same shapes every time. Instead, every shape is taped individually and by hand, so that they all end up being unique. Every bike looks different, every Ultimate is one-of-a-kind. All hand-signed by Torben Giehler.

Frame design, Giehler-style

Just like on his typical large-canvas paintings, Giehler adored the Ultimate frame with a bold colour scheme typical of his style. And by intentionally letting paint run under the masking, each frame differs slightly in the small details. No two frames are the same.
